The <body> tagThe <body> tag is used to tell the browsers and compilers (translators between computer languages) how and what type of language is to be managed with what type of files in system's files of every users. This is how every computer will handled what code is brought before it.A huge mistake is to assume that because your document starts with the <!doctype> and <html> that your pc will all the way throught assume that this is web language... Wrong!! Since script exist in html document and that the whole window in which browser view web pages, there is not just java involved and if it was, there wouln'd be no viruses. So, anyhow, just to explain the <body> tag... <html><head><body> just tells your operating system how to interperts the code following these tags. So the <body> tag tells your pc to consider the following as blocknote or simplier .txt document. In other words, <html> tells your pc to read and output data as a regular .txt document. But html has newer element in which it differs from regular .txt. It has hyperlinks, scripts and little more. So it is an evolution of the old .txt. <head> defines the caracteristics in which it differs from a .txt document and the <body> tag is the method of abiding to these new rules implemented by new softwares like NetScape, Explorer, etc. Here is how to write it:
